Establishment of "WBC Partner Association" aimed at advancing and expanding WBC

Contributing to solving issues in the water and wastewater business by centralizing members' knowledge/knowhow in WBC

The water and wastewater business environment in Japan is facing various issues including an increase in renewal costs exacerbated by the aging of facilities and a shortage of engineers caused by the massive retirement of trained engineers. In response to these issues, METAWATER launched the Water Business Cloud ("WBC"), ICT services using a cloud-based platform, to support the water and wastewater business in 2011 and has supported the sustainability of the water and wastewater business by providing "Smart Field Service," a water infrastructure management service, since 2013.
METAWATER has established the "WBC Partner Association" with the aim of contributing to solving issues in the water and wastewater business by advancing WBC. Going forward, METAWATER will expand the association and enhance activities by inviting members, focusing on WBC users and WBC business partners, while facilitating the introduction of WBC. By sharing members' technologies, knowledge, and knowhow as well as centralizing them into the WBC platform, METAWATER will facilitate the development of applications and expand service contents in order to provide solutions to various issues facing water and wastewater business operators.
