Receipt of Order by Corporate Group of Which METAWATER is a Participant from the Tokachi Area Complex Administrative Association for a "Midterm Project for Provision and Operation of Treatment Facilities"
A corporate group (Representative Company: JFE Engineering Corporation) in which METAWATER Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Kenji Yamaguchi; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; "METAWATER") is a participant, has recently received an order from the Tokachi Area Complex Administrative Association for a "Midterm Project for Provision and Operation of Treatment Facilities" (hereinafter referred to as the "Project").
This Project involves the provision of new treatment facilities required as result of the deterioration of the existing incineration treatment facilities and large/non-combustible refuse treatment facilities found at the Tokachi Area Complex Administrative Association's*1 Kuririn Center. Upon the construction of a new incineration treatment facility (stoker-type incinerator; 2 incinerators with respective capacities of 146 t/day) and a large/non-combustible refuse treatment facility (with a capacity of 61 t/day), tasks involving the operation of both facilities will be undertaken over the course of a 20-year period via the Design, Build and Operate Method (DBO Method)*2.
Please note that for this Project, METAWATER will be taking on the work involved in the construction of the large/non-combustible refuse treatment facilities and the operation of those facilities. This project will be undertaken by METAWATER while placing the utmost priority on ensuring safety and giving consideration to the surrounding environment. At the same time, METAWATER will be working to gain the understanding of those in the surrounding areas, which includes the constituent municipalities of the Tokachi Area Complex Administrative Association.
METAWATER is looking to continue efforts aimed at addressing the broad needs of society by leveraging the expertise which it has cultivated when it comes to the construction, operation, maintenance, and inspection of water and sewage works and refuse treatment facilities. In doing so, METAWATER will be contributing to the building of a recycling-oriented society.
