Receipt of Order for a Mobile Ceramic Membrane Filtration Equipment to be Used in Republic of Mozambique

METAWATER Co., Ltd. (President: Kenji Yamaguchi, Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "METAWATER") is pleased to announce that it has received an order for "Mobile Ceramic Membrane Filtration Equipment" under grant aid assistance of Japan's official development assistance (ODA). The Equipment aims to improve water supply conditions for internally displaced people in the Republic of Mozambique (Mozambique). Delivery is scheduled for September 2023.

Northern Mozambique is currently experiencing a large number of internally displaced persons. Therefore, the population in the host region is rapidly increasing, and the existing water supply system is unable to meet the demand in this area. Our mobile ceramic membrane filtration equipment has been adopted as one of the solutions to this problem.

METAWATER's mobile ceramic membrane filtration equipment can supply purified water of stable quality and quantity even with high turbidity raw water, and thanks to its on-board power generator, it is possible to treat water even in places where there is no public power supply. This equipment will greatly improve the water supply for the residents of the host area as well as for the displaced people. Furthermore, it will contribute to reducing the number of displaced people who become ill due to drinking unclean water.

METAWATER has received orders for a total of 31 units in Africa and Southeast Asia, starting with Malawi in 2013, followed by Cambodia, Myanmar, etc. and now Mozambique. METAWATER will continue to expand the sales of this equipment as an emergency measure in the event of a disaster and as a mobile water purification system to areas where safe water is not readily available
