METAWATER to Supply Nine Units of Mobile Ceramic Membrane Filtration Equipments in Myanmer
ETAWATER Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasushi Nakamura; "METAWATER") is pleased to announce that it has received an order from Myanmar for nine units of Mobile ceramic membrane filtration equipments, designed for improving risk management response capability and emergency measures in a time of disaster, through the Grant Assistance Project under the Japanese government's Official Development Assistance (ODA) scheme.
METAWATER's Mobile ceramic membrane filtration equipments can supply stable quality and volume of treated water using high-turbidity raw water during a disaster. In addition, the systems are equipped with electrical generators, enabling operation in places where no public power supply is available. During the massive flood that hit Myanmar in August 2015, our equipments were used to supply safe and high quality drinking water to disaster victims. This order was awarded by Myanmar's government in recognition of the features of the equipments and our emergency water supply activities during a flood event and because the features of our equipments agree with the aim of this Grant Assistance Project under Japan's ODA to "improve the resilience of the Myanmar government to respond to natural disasters and support the economic and social development of Myanmar through infrastructure development."
This is our second receipt of an order for Mobile ceramic membrane filtration equipments from Myanmar following the project announced in the press release* dated February 9, 2017. METAWATER will aim to expand sales of Mobile ceramic membrane filtration equipmets as emergency water purification systems in a time of disaster and mobile water purification systems to areas where safe water supply is not available.
