Participation in the establishment of a new company playing a key role in operating the water and wastewater business in Kitakyushu City
Facilitating overseas water/wide-area water supply businesses through a new company funded by both public and private sectors
METAWATER Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President: Tomoyasu Kida; hereinafter referred to as "METAWATER") is pleased to announce that it has participated in the establishment of Kitakyushu Water Service, semi©\governmental corporation engaging in the water and wastewater business, with Kitakyushu City (Mayor: Kenji Kitahashi) and other parties.
Kitakyushu Water Service will handle businesses which will be transferred from the Kitakyushu Water and Wastewater Association (the "Association"), including the management and operation monitoring of water and wastewater facilities in the city. In addition, Kitakyushu Water Service will engage in central operations, overseas water business, and wide-area water supply business.
In participating in the city's water and wastewater business through Kitakyushu Water Service, METAWATER will leverage its extensive expertise and contribute to facilitating the existing water and wastewater, wide-area water supply, and overseas water businesses.
